Whenever we hear the term green living, many of us might think it's a way of hi-tech living where a lot of gadgets and greenery is must to make your life environment friendly. It is absolutely a misconception about it. You don't need any kind of extra thing to make your living least harmful to the environment. You just need to remain careful during your whole life to avoid hitting environment and keep taking simple steps to take care of mother Nature. Here are five tips to adopt green living forever.

Simple food to eat

There is no restriction on you to eat for green living. You just need to eat more vegetables and pulses. If you are fond of eating meat then first move to fish and sea food. After that broiler
chicken. Even then if you still feel desire to eat red meat then enjoy it but minimum. Make a monthly restriction bar that shows minimum how much time you can eat red meat. Then make that bar stricter to bring it once in a week and then once in a month. You can innovate your recipes of white meat to avoid boredom while eating it. Just try some eastern and Mexican recipes that put lot of spices and herbs in white meat dishes. In this way you will not be bore by eating white meat. Eat fruits and vegetables as much as you can and make their tasty combinations to enjoy them.

Love water then use it

This is the second most important way of adopting green living forever. Treat water as if it's your personal property. Use it very carefully; either for drinking or for washing and showering. Develop these small habits as your second nature.

  • Always open tape half to get water
  • Fill the glass half to drink it and then get more if you need to drink more
  • Wash kitchen pots in one-go and apply any high-quality dish cleaning liquid to use water less
  • Wash clothes with fixed intervals like once in a week or two-week to avoid emergency washing that consumes more water
  • Never leave the tape open in interval of any water-related activity like rubbing soap on clothes, applying liquid on pots or applying soap or shampoo on your head or body

No bulbs, just energy savers

Instead of high voltage bulbs, make your habit to use energy savers. Apply this rule to every place in your home in wash room, kitchen, car porch, backyard. If you consume less energy it means less energy generation and ultimately less burning of fossil fuel to produce energy. Burning of fossil fuel almost kills the quality of air we breathe; right. 

Keep a car but use it minimum

You can buy and keep a car as costly as you can afford but to follow a green living use it where it is must to use it. For your regular commuting use public transport. Just imagine isn't it the waste of resources you drive a car with three of its seats empty. If many people commute daily in your family go together to spend max time with each other.
