Why pollution?

why pollution is created
Why pollution? A simple question; and its answer is also so simple. Lack of planning and over-ambition! Man is hectic by nature. Very few believe in patience. Each one wants to get more in lesser time. Each work he wants mechanized to finish in lesser period of time. This is intrinsic feature of human being which distinguishes him or her from other living beings. During previous three centuries the miraculous development and progress in the field of science and technology truly reflect the competitive nature of human being.
Lack of planning is main cause ofpollution. Most of industries all over the world more particularly in third world countries are installed just to meet the consumption demand of consumers. If for example in an urban area there is acute demand of leather garments then businesses just try to fulfill this demand by establishing a tannery (a factory where leather is made) and do not take care of the environmental aspect of their establishment.
There is environmental law - in one form or in another - in most of the countries of the world that wherever and whenever you want to set up a factory you have to get its environmental impact assessment through environmental watchdog of your area. However, this law came into being
in late twentieth century and all those factories which were established earlier of that law are not subject to this it. Even the factories which were established after this law did not comply with it more particularly in less developed countries. As a result owing to not following an environmental management plan such factories are emitting smoke and releasing effluents more than the environmental limits and adding water, land and air pollution.
Similarly haste is also part of the nature of human being. Every one wants to move fast and reach the place earlier or at least at exact time in a while. This nature has enhanced its reliance on mechanic transport and we use vehicles either public or private to travel even within the city to move just some yards away. This nature of human being has increased the number of vehicles all around the world which added air pollution astronomically. Owing to unawareness most vehicles are not properly maintained according to environmental point of view and emit smoke and noise more than the prescribed limit. In this way the menace of vehicular emissions is eating away our natural environment.
Apart from haste and lack of planning, our carefree attitude towards environment is also another factor which is causing pollution. Like we know that mismanagement of solid and hospital waste causes land pollution but we don’t take extra care of it. We expect its management by civic bodies and don’t play our part in its management like it’s placement at designated place with safety measures.

Therefore, the answer of the question “why pollution” is very simple that we the human beings are responsible for the increasing level of pollution in this world. No divine being would arrive at Earth to free us from this menace. It is we who can control it if we really want.
